“Changing Attitudes” – TheSocialGolfer.com Open 2019

Thesocialgolfer.com OPEN Championship 2019Community Golf were thrilled to be chosen as TSG’s (www.thesocialgolfer.com) charity for their 2019 Open event.

This annual event took place at Bletchingly Golf Club on Sunday 21st July 2019, with the theme for the day was all about “changing attitudes”

The Social Golfer online golf community (TSG) is a place where you can find new golf partners & societies, join local golf games and events in your area or county.

In addition, they provide a platform on which to run golf societies and golf groups, track your scores, establish a handicap certificate and join in with the latest chat and forum discussions.

The TSG Team, chose Community Golf as their charity for 2019, as we are passionate about supporting disabilities, especially when directly using golf to drive activity and exercise.

The day began with gorgeous sunny weather which was filled with laughter and good spirits as the golfers enjoyed their round with loads of prizes up for grabs.

They were also tasked with some Skills Challenges which we use in our weekly challenges across our various programmes.

Common phrases heard on the day included: “This is  harder than it looks!”

The day was concluded with a superb BBQ spread, auction, raffle drawer and prize-giving
